Nest doesn't have ANY PoE cameras right now, so I'm also waiting to see if they release any.
I'm also waiting for Ring to add more PoE cameras to their line up (praying for a PoE floodlight
***y Cam free). All in all, Ring and Nest are getting closer and closer in price and features, but the monthly cost of Ring and a want for an integrated security system won me over.
60 a month. I know starting in 2020, Nest is doing a 1 flat fee for unlimited cameras though. Also, unless you have terrible wifi coverage or strength, the wifi cameras from Nest and Ring work fine (wouldn't worry too much about the connection). For me, I'm just a little OCD with wires, and the biggest benefit is that PoE lets me hide wires and stay compliant to electrical code (the Ethernet connection is just a plus).
Kafka in general. I still enjoy this odd little snippet, nevertheless, and wanted to share it.
